There are SO many things can one can do with calligraphy. To give you an idea, some of my favorites include:
• Greeting Cards (birthday, anniversary, etc.)
• Certificates (wedding, graduation, etc.)
• Labeling (books, photos, etc.)
• And so much more…I love to get creative!
A little about me: My name is Troy and I am a one-man business in the Seattle area. I've always loved doing freelance work, so this business is really much more of a hobby than anything else. But it's always nice to earn a little extra money on the side. :) I'm 26 years old and began to experiment with fancy lettering when I was in 5th grade, after three one-hour classes offered at my elementary school. From there, it just took lots and lots and LOTS of practice. I'm currently finishing my third year of dental school at the University of Washington. I actually became interested in dentistry largely through my love of calligraphy...the fine hand skills involved are quite similar, believe it or not. I am also married to an incredible wife and we have two beautiful daughters.

I labeled this rub that was made from the tombstone of a medieval knight.several different fonts, Old English is a classic.
A page from a book I was commissioned to inscribe...the university that hired me was seeking a $2 million donation to purchase a home, using this book to describe their intentions. Would it be bragging to say the donation was made?

Though heavily "blacked out," this illustrates what can be done with personal, meaningful certificates.
